Knowledge is irriversable

エジプトでの｢革命｣についてBBCのRadio4の朝のニュース番組TodayでJohn HumphrysがエジプトのフェミニストでOutstanding Award(at the Women of the Year)を受賞したDr Nawal El-Saadawiにしたインタビューが流れた。フェミニストとして活動し続けている人だ。"We lived the dream that we're equal(わたしたちは自分たちが平等だという夢を生きた)"と題されたインタビューの中でこんなやり取りがあった。

John Humphrys:
Is it working, the revolution?

Dr Nawal El-Saadawi:
Working? Of course, yes.
It is working and it will work.
Of course, there is some relapses
as in any revolution. [...]

John: But you think it is irreversible.

Nawal: Irreversible in Egypt
and all over the world,
because knowledge is irreversible.
